He is risen indeed!

Happy Easter everyone. I hope that everyone had a wonderful weekend rejoicing over the resurrection of our Lord. We had a great time this weekend with family. My parents came up from San Antonio for the weekend, and Sunday, after an amazing time of worship at church, Frank's parents joined us for Easter lunch. Caroline has learned how to wave and does so constantly. We love it! Caroline looked beautiful in her Easter dress. Although, she did have to learn how to crawl in a very interesting way to avoid getting caught up in her dress.

Thank you Grandma and Grandpa for my Easter Basket.

Yes, I love bows. I am a girl afterall.

Who needs a present; I love my eggs.
I do think this will look lovely on me.

Thank you Grandmama and Grandpapa for my sweet bunny.

Sitting with my awesome Dad. Mommy thinks he is so cute.

Look how much I have grown.

I love to wave. I wave at everything. The fan, the door, the cabinets, etc.

This is how I keep from stepping on my dress.

Here I am about to eat some yummy carrots for Easter. Love to all.

Caroline's Cabinet

Caroline has a new favorite place to play. My friend Kate gave me the idea to let her have a cabinet that she is allowed to play in. I didn't know she would literally play in the cabinet.

New Blog Design

Hello everyone! I will have new pictures up soon, but in the meantime, I thought I might share my free way of making a header for my blog. I used Power Point. I scanned some cute paper to use as my background for the header and then I just built the header like I would build a power point slide. Once I figured out to use Power Point, things went pretty well. I have been trying to do something like this. Money is tight, so I can't afford to have someone else do it. Who knew I had a creative side. Anyway, love to everyone. I will be back soon.

What up yo!

This is Caroline here. I just want to give a shout out to my Uncle James. This is his birthday month, so I just thought I would let him know what a great uncle he is and how much I love him.

Under Construction

My blog is currently undergoing some changes. Sorry for the oh so boring background. We will be up and running with something fabulous! Love to you all!

Who am I?

I am a child of God
I am a woman who struggles with what it means to be a woman of God
I have asked God where he was in the midst of my abuse
I have two children. My sweet Caroline and a child I will not get to meet this side of heaven
I have an amazing husband that I sometimes push away because I don't know how to deal with my pain
I have had women in my life who have cried a lot of tears for me
I have a mother that I love so much that when I think about the day she will be gone I can't breathe
I have spent the last three years dealing with anxiety and finally became brave enough to ask for help
I have begun to truly believe that what I do at home as a wife and mother is impacting the world
I am trying to believe that my education was not a waste of time even though I don't get to diagram sentences anymore
I don't like coffee at all but always think people who drink it are more sophisticated than I am
I have a degree in English, but I don't like to read or write
I have new friends that push me to be better and are teaching me more about what it means to love my husband well
I am struggling to lose weight after having a baby, and when I say struggling, I mean that I am not trying very hard
I desire to impact my church family and not just be the wife of the amazing worship leader

I just wanted to share what I have been thinking about lately.

Things Caroline has been doing

Well Caroline is now nine months old. I can hardly believe she is growing so fast. Some of her most recent achievements include crawling everywhere and pulling up on everything. She has even started walking while holding onto furniture. She now has six teeth which she uses quite often to try to take a bite out of me. She is still very social and sweet-natured. I see tiny glimpses of the little girl she will become. Here are some of her more recent pictures. My best friend Amy is an amazing photographer, and she took these amazing pictures of Caroline. I am pretty sure they could win some sort of contest.

This one is my absolute favorite.

This one is for you B. She loves her bloomers.

My little diva!

So angelic
